    is anal irrigation. It removes all the toxins from intestines and colon thus freeing us of

    What You Need:

    How To Take Enema:

    1.The enema pot is usually hung by a nail on the wall.

    2.The Enema placed at a certain height and a rubber tube which has a rubber catheter

    at the end takes water to the anus.

    3.The person may lie down on his back or one side.

    4.After inserting the catheter into the anus, the valve is opened so that gradually enters

    the large intestine.

    5.One should try to lie down and hold water in the stomach for some going to .

    6.Then go to the toilet and let water go out along with stool. Don’t apply any pressure.

    7. Take rest of 5 to 10 minutes after Enema.

    Precautions For Enema:

    1. After eating anything, Enema should not be taken till three hours.

    2. After taking Enema, one should lie down for 15 minutes to give full rest to the

    intestines.

    3. One should not eat anything immediately after Enema.4. Lemon juice should be

    mixed in Enema water. If there is too much constipation.

    11.If the intestine is clean and blood movement takes place normally, Enema is not in

    need.

    12.After taking Enema never lift up heavy weight.

    What is PCOS?

    Before Bed:

    1. Eat around 15 gms of jaggery and drink one cup of warm water.

    It is more important to know what NOT to eat.

    Say no to:

    1. Food with preservatives or bakery agents. Especially biscuits
    2. Tea, coffee, pickles and anything with chilli in it
    3. Painkillers and any hormonal medicine

    Don’t take sprouts, dairy products, raw vegetables or dry fruits after sunset.

  • Varicocele

    Causes:

    The main reason for the Varicoceles is disturbed blood flow in the scrotum. There are many reasons that affect the blood flow. The blood flow in the groin region is affected by:

    • Blood Pressure

    • High Cholesterol

    • Smoking

    • Tight Clothing

    • Sitting Continuously

    • Exessive Biking

    • Inactivity of Pelvic Muscles

    Symptoms:

    • A lump with a dragging like or aching pain

    • Feeling of heaviness in the testicles

    • Related urinary problems

    • Swelling in the scrotum

    • Visibly enlarged or twisted veins which are described as looking/feeling like a bag of worms

    • A dull or recurring pain in the scrotum that may spike to extreme pain occasionally

    Diagnosis:

    A varicocele is often confused to be lymphatic filariasis. Every  one should go for proper tests for diagnosis. If you suffer from pain, don’t let your doctor jump to a conclusion just by clinical examination. Go for proper diagnosis with proper tests and examination followed by clinical correlation.

    Scrotal Ultrasonography (USG-Scrotum):

    A scrotal ultrasound is a way to get a clear picture of your disease and its extent and severity. Always go for proper diagnosis.

    Treatment Options:

    Surgery/Operation:

    There exist surgical procedures where the blocked part is cut and the veins are joined for normal blood flow. This, however, brings in new complications and is not always known to completely provide relief. The varicocele reappears in most of the cases after some time. This is because surgery does not remove the reason behind this ailment.

    So keep surgery as your last resort and go for naturopathy first.

    Medication:

    Know medication is known to exist that could help with the Varicocele. There are sedatives and painkillers that may help in relieving the pain, but nothing is known to cure varicocele.

    Yoga and Naturopathy:

    Why?

    Varicocele is a blockage in the blood veins. Basically, it is a lack of proper toning in the scrotum area. This could also be due to blood flow inconsistency like to people who used to left their habits of biking, or of working out.

    Toning is providing proper exercise to the region. One needs to let clean blood flow in his body, give proper exercise to all parts, and especially the groin region. Proper compression and relaxation provided by the treatment and exercises will recuperate the veins and eventually ease the blood flow back into the normal painless state, and dissolve the lumps.

    A person suffering from thyroid disease has to take medicine life long.

    That thyroid diseases are not curable without medicine.

    Truths:

    Most cases of thyroid diseases are curable by naturopathy and yoga.

    Medicine related to thyroid diseases cause severe hormone-related metabolism problems.

    What is Thyroid Disease?

    There is a butterfly-shaped endocrine gland situated at the base of the neck called the thyroid gland. This gland secretes hormones on which the metabolism depends.

    Any kind of dysfunction of the thyroid gland is referred to as Thyroid Disease.

    Most common types of thyroid diseases are:

    1. Hyperthyroidism – The overproduction of hormone by the thyroid.

    2. Hypothyroidism – The condition in which thyroid does not produce enough hormones.

    3. Thyroid Nodules- Lumps, tumor or swelling in the thyroid gland.

    4. Goiter – Abnormally enlarged thyroid.

    5. Thyroiditis – Inflammation of thyroid.

    6. Thyroid Cancer – Cancer in the thyroid.

    Tests for thyroid disease:

    Ultrasonography

    Blood Tests:

    T3 – The thyroid gland produces a hormone called thyroxin which is known as T3.

    T4 – Thyroid gland produces the other hormone called thyroxine which is known as T4.

    TSH – There is an endocrine gland situated at the base of the brain is called pituitary gland. This gland is master gland of the body. The pituitary gland produces a hormone called Thyroid Stimulating Hormone[TSH].

    How does thyroid work?

    In a healthy human body, when there is a need for release of thyroxine into the bloodstream, the pituitary glands secrete the TSH (Thyroid Stimulating Hormone into the blood) this TSH is received by the thyroid glands which secrete Thyroxine (T3 and T4) into the bloodstream as the result.

    TSH tells the thyroid to do it’s job.

    Thyroxine then is received by the pituitary and pituitary receives it as a signal to stop the production of TSH.

    Thyroxine tells the pituitary to stop producing TSH

    If pituitary gland does not produce enough TSH – level of thyroid hormone fall. If the level of TSH is high the level of thyroid hormone will increase. If a patient suffers from thyroid disease and regularly takes thyroxine, then the secretion of TSH is also suppressed in the pituitary gland. This will lead to a gradual degeneration of the pituitary glands and lead to all sorts of hormonal diseases, be ranging from diabetes to renal failure, and then tumors and cancer of the endocrine system.

    TSH – Measures the level of hormones in the blood secreted by the thyroid.

    T3, T4, and TSH these three hormones together regulate the body temperature, the metabolism, and the heart rate.

    Causes of Thyroid Diseases

    Pituitary disorders

    A defective  thyroid.

    Acidity.

    Constipation.

    Liver disease

    Unnatural lifestyle

    Intake of medicines that directly or indirectly affects the hormone.

    Excessive of mental pressure or work less dull life.

    Having diet with bakery agents, and preserving agents or unmatched food which cause acidity.[unmached food means- one or more food taken together to cause acidity  . Such as biscuits with tea or coffee or dairy products with salty food. Vegetables cooked with too much of oil and red chilli etc ].

    Pranayama is the most important treatment of thyroid disease.

    Maintain the same sequence as shown above. After pranayama, do at least two minutes of Aanapana (aanapana is complete concentration on breathing. Stay conscious of how breath is entering the nostril and exiting it. Feel the contact of air on your face and all over the body).

    Thyroid disease is a hormone-related disease. All the pranayamas with aanapana stimulate the hormones to keep the thyroid gland healthy.

     

    Surya namaskar with Tadasana, Tiryak tadasana ,Katichakrasana , and Shithalikaran all together is very beneficial for thyroid  disease. It effects very positively on endocrine glands, digestive system, reproductive and excretory systems.

    International Yoga Day 2016 was a very eventful day for us. We did learn and got to share a whole lot of knowledge regarding curative yoga.

    Dr. Punam Agarwal, Founder, and Chief Medical Consultant at Aarogyam got an opportunity to speak about yoga in the pre-evening meet. She shifted from the trend of repeating “Yoga is A Healthy Habit” and “One should do Yoga Everyday”, to providing valuable and informative insight on a few grave matters and how practicing Yoga along with some naturotherapeutic activities will help manage them. She discussed the importance and effect of yoga in post-pregnancy periods and described how post-pregnancy weight gain and hormone imbalance can be controlled with the help of yoga. She also deeply described the benefits of ‘Sukshma Pranayam’, ‘Vajrasana’, and ‘Shhethlikaran’.

    The day started with yoga at home, and carefully listening to the hon’ble PM Narendra Modi Ji. The man has a really powerful insight and wants the whole world to see the curative capacities of yoga, one disease at a time. He said:

    दूसरा, योग। ये बीमारी से ही मुक्‍ति का मार्ग नहीं है। योग, ये wellness की गारंटी है। ये सिर्फ fitness की नहीं, ये wellness की गारंटी है इसलिए हमने wellness पर भी। अगर जीवन को एक Holistic development की ओर ले जाना है, ये उसका उत्‍तम मार्ग है।

    Yoga is not just a path to be free from diseases. It is a guarantee of fitness and wellness. We couldn’t agree more. The human body is just one part of our triad of existence- Mind, Body, and Soul. Yoga will lead to a very holistic development of all the three elements of this triad. There was something else he had to say. Something that we were wishing he would say from a long time:

Diabetes और योग। सभी योग की दुनिया के लोग, जो भी ज्ञान उनके पास है, तरीके उनके पास है; साल भर योग की बाकी चीजें तो चलेंगी लेकिन ये प्रमुख होगा। भारत में Diabetes की संख्‍या बढ़ रही है। योग के द्वारा Diabetes से मुक्‍ति मिले या न मिले लेकिन उसकोcontrol तो किया जा सकता है। हम सामान्‍य व्‍यक्‍ति को Diabetes की स्‍थिति में कौन से योगिक उपाय है, ये सिखाने का जन आंदोलन खड़ा कर सकते हैं क्‍या? देश में Diabetes के कारण होने वाली परेशानियों से हम कुछ percent लोगों को भी मुक्‍ति दिलाएंगे तो योग इस वर्ष के achievement में, अगले साल कोई और बीमारी लेंगे। लेकिन मैं चाहता हूं कि इस उत्‍तम स्‍वास्‍थ्‍य के लिए कहीं पर किसी बीमारी को भी address करें हम और एक वर्ष के लिए एक बीमारी पकड़कर के आंदोलन चलाए।

    We have been fighting this fight for some time now.
